Sam Raimi (b.1959) says “That's what heroic stories do for us. They show us the way. They remind us of the good we are capable of.”  And the newest Spider-man should be the most interesting and heroic comic hero film yet as Peter Parker/Spiderman is forced to deal with some tough villains from within as well as around him.

The cult classics “The Evil Dead” and “Evil Dead II” were the first films to gain widespread appreciation for Raimi.  Moving on from the horror genre, Raimi began to explore other directions with films such as “A Simple Plan” and “For The Love Of The Game.”  But it wasn’t until the first Spider-man movie that Ramie enjoyed blockbuster success.
