Bryce Dallas Howard (b.1981) will be playing Gwen Stacy, the daughter of the police chief and admirer of Peter Parker.  It has been said that it is actually Gwen and not Mary Jane who is Spidey’s true love.  It will be interesting to see how it all turns out.  But between Howard and Dunst, I don’t think Spidey’s hurting for attractive women.

Having only been in the entertainment business since 2003, Howard’s breakthrough role was in the movie “The Village” when she played the part of a beautiful but blind daughter of an elder in a community seemed stuck in the superstition of the Medieval times.
